Meeting on Postal Draft Law

Phnom Penh, 22 July 2020, Undersecretary of State Chanyareth Huoth chaired a meeting on postal draft law. Present at the discussion were the members of the relevant working group.

The objective of the meeting was to draft postal law; the meeting agreed on the following points:
1. Create an action plan and working procedure
2. Review and revise the postal draft law to replace the 2002 postal law, in response to the current technological development of postal sector. The chairman of the working group prepared and presented the draft for review and discussion.
3. The working group to research related documents from countries in the region, Asian-Pacific Postal Union (APPU) and Universal Postal Union (UPU) to gather inputs for the draft law. Participating members also shared their experiences with regards to previous tasks and discussed in detail on the relevant points pertaining the draft law.
