During the panel discussion, H.E. Seng Sopheap shared insights on the “Draft National AI Strategy,” which focuses on building a strong foundation for digital transformation. He outlined four key strategic pillars outlined in the policy:

1. Human Capital Development: Training programs on AI and data science and integration of AI into educational curricula.

2. Infrastructure and Data Development: Enhancing national data governance, establishing open data platforms, and developing computing infrastructure to support research and innovation.

3. Promoting AI Adoption in Government: Implementing AI technologies in public services in line with ethical standards and good governance principles to improve the efficiency of service delivery.

4. Encouraging AI Adoption in Priority Sectors: Integrating AI into key sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, industry, and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to boost productivity and address actual problems in the society.

In addition, H.E. President showcased Cambodia’s tangible progress in digital government development, particularly the successful implementation of the national document verification platform, Verify.gov.kh, of the Royal Government. H.E. emphasized that the platform serves not only as a national standard for combating counterfeit documents but has also expanded its scope of cooperation to regional partners, including the Philippines, Lao PDR, and Timor-Leste. On this occasion, H.E. invited representatives from other countries to explore potential collaboration, connect to, or adopt the technology of the Verify.gov.kh platform to facilitate cross-border data exchange and enhance the efficiency of public service delivery at both regional and international levels.

Through the Summit, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening international cooperation to ensure that artificial intelligence and digital innovation result in practical benefits for society.
