Phnom Penh: On the morning of April 30, 2026, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) organized a workshop to gather input on the draft “MPTC AI Promotion Strategy,” which was presided over by His Excellency Sam Sethserey, Director General of the General Department of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), and was attended by MPTC’s technical officials, the private sector, and educational institutions—bringing together approximately 80 participants.

The workshop was organized with the following objectives: 1-to share MPTC’s strategic direction on the development and application of artificial intelligence, particularly within the postal, telecommunications, and digital technology sectors; 2-to disseminate the progress on the draft strategic document; and 3-to gather input from key stakeholders to ensure the strategy is practical, addresses actual needs, and helps strengthen the artificial intelligence ecosystem in Cambodia.

The MPTC will continue to collaborate with the private sector, educational institutions, and relevant stakeholders to strengthen the artificial intelligence ecosystem and enhance Cambodia’s competitive edge in the international market.
