The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) is honored to inform the public that on June 25 2026, the document verification platform verify.gov.kh won the United Nations Public Service Award 2026 in the category of Transparency and Accountability, after passing through multiple rounds of selection among over 700 applications from 62 countries around the world. This award was presented to Cambodia at the United Nations Public Service Forum, held under the theme “Transforming Public Institutions: Advancing Innovation, Accountability, Participation, and Inclusion” in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Under the leadership of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, the Royal Government launched the verify.gov.kh platform in 2023 to eliminate document fraud, verify document authenticity, save time, reduce costs, and accelerate the digital transformation of public services. Under the visionary leadership of Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, MPTC has remained committed to developing digital government platforms and applications to drive digital government transformation forward. The verify.gov.kh platform has been continuously upgraded, making it increasingly powerful — equipped with artificial intelligence, scalability, flexibility, and cybersecurity resilience in line with international best practices — to the point where it is now recognized as the 4th Digital Public Infrastructure in the world, and is currently being shared with a number of other countries.
It is also worth noting that Cambodia’s verify.gov.kh platform previously won the Gold Medal at the ASEAN Digital Award 2024 in Singapore, and an award at the 20th World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) in Switzerland. These achievements reflect the fruitful efforts of MPTC and the Digital Government Committee in building digital solutions to improve public services recognized both nationally and internationally, and showcasing Cambodian talent in digital technology development to the world.
