Cambodia-France Strengthen Cooperation Ties to Build Skilled Human Capital and Foster AI Innovation and Emerging Technology

Grenoble: On July 10, 2026, His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), led a high-level delegation to visit Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) in Grenoble, France.

During the visit, H.E. Minister presided over the signing of two key documents as follows:

– A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between MPTC and UGA to establish a comprehensive framework for cooperation on training and research in digital technology.

– A tripartite partnership agreement between MPTC, the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT), and UGA for the National AI and Data Science Research Center project.

Furthermore, the MPTC delegation explored further collaboration opportunities by meeting with leading French institutes and laboratories as well as attending strategic discussions focused on expanding education and research in cybersecurity, microelectronics, and quantum computing, as well as space and satellite engineering.

These strategic partnerships clearly reflect MPTC’s strong commitment to building robust domestic capacity in research and innovation on cutting-edge digital technology.
