H.E. Minister Tram Iv Tek presided over the Opening Ceremony of Workshop on “Promoting Gender Equity”

In response to the policy of the Royal Government and strategic plans for mainstreaming gender equity awareness of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MPTC) in 2014-2018 to reduce gender gap between men and women, the working group for gender of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications conducted a workshop on “Gender Equity Improvement” for government officials of MPTC. The event is participated by directors and deputy directors and representatives from provincial departments totally 100 participants.  
The workshop is aiming to: 

1. Promulgating the convention on the elimination of discriminations against gender and to understand the Ministry’s duties in responding to the observation or conclusion comprised of 52 points  
2. Promulgating the national law related to the national policy on gender equity improvement 
3. Defining challenges, shortage points, and recommendations responding to the encouragement of female government officials in implementing jobs as well as providing more efficient decision making.
