H.E. Minister Tram Iv Tek had a Meeting with U.S-ASEAN Business Council
MPTC’s Head Office, February 21, 2017: H.E. Minister Tram Iv Tek had a meeting with U.S-ASEAN Business Council led by H.E. Amb. Michael Michalak, Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director of U.S-ASEAN.
At the start of the meeting, H.E. Minister Tram Iv Tek has expressed his warmly welcomes to U.S-ASEAN Business Council. He also raised about the three sectors:

- Postal development on e-commerce
- Telecommunication development on the affords of infrastructure building and internet use and
- ICT development and implementation target on the new sector.
In response, the U.S-ASEAN Business Delegation, raised that the its goal is focuses mainly on three points:
- Bilateral cooperation
- Backbone infrastructure building and
- Capacity building.
The separate discussion is relevant to ICT management sector, U.S side is focuses mainly on e-government, cyber security, and capacity building by closely cooperation of Cambodia-U. S whether to bring the sector to be more smoothly.
In response to the three sectors, U.S side said that the ministry is being prepared to strengthening an efficient implementation by making law, regulatory framework, policy, action plan to protect the benefits of users to be more smoothly.
Related to capacity building of human resource since early Fifth Legislature of the Roya Government of Cambodia, the ministry has built the National Institute of Posts, Telecomm and Information and Communication Technology for training human resource to meet the need of the rapidly development of the three sectors.
