Appointment of Director of Kep Provincial Department of Post and Telecommunications

Kep, 15 July 2020, MPTC secretary of state Khun Heng Khay, representative of minister Vandeth Chea, presided over the appointment ceremony of Mr. Prann Heng as the director of Kep provincial department of post and telecommunications, replacing the retired director Nok Sam. Present at the ceremony were provincial council chairman Sarin Sam, governor Piseth Som, officials of provincial department and officials from other provincial departments within Kep province, totaling 180 participants.

On this occasion, secretary Khay stated that in response to the development of post, telecoms and ICT sectors, MPTC has strengthened management efficiency, facilitated sector-related tasks, improved social order, maintained national security as well as promoted national revenue generation. In addition, secretary Khay highlighted that during the 6th mandate, the Ministry will implement organizational restructuring and create additional specialized units to handle primary tasks; MPTC will continue to recruit qualified officials to manage lead and handle the outstanding tasks.

In his closing remark, secretary Khay conveyed to director Heng the need to adhere to the highest responsibilities in handling daily tasks and cooperate with relevant leadership team to build rapport, study, gain additional knowledge and experience. In addition, the new director shall promote internal communication with officials of the provincial department and lead by example. Lastly, all government officials shall observe Samdach Hun Sen’s five approaches namely mirroring, showering, scrub, cure and surgery and strictly follow the rules of law and perform duties with ownership, loyalty and professionalism.
