Minister Vandeth Chea Joins the “Victory Flame” Lighting Ceremony to Commemorate the 67th Anniversary of Cambodia’s Independence

Phnom Penh, 09 November 2020, His Excellency Vandeth Chea, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, led the ministry’s delegates to join the “Victory Flame” Lighting Ceremony to commemorate the 67th Anniversary of Cambodia’s Independence (9 November 1953 – 9 November 2020). The ceremony was presided by His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia. Also present at the ceremony were delegations from different ministries, students, youth groups, and the general public.

The 67th Anniversary of Cambodia’s Independence serves as a tribute to the royal mission for the Cambodia’s sovereignty by His Majesty the late King-Father Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk, the Father of National Independence, Preah Borom Ratanak Kaudh, who made tremendous sacrifice to successfully gain Cambodia’s full independence from France on 9 November 1953.
