Phnom Penh— On the morning of June 10, 2025, His Excellency Liv Sophanarith, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, presided over the official launching ceremony of the AUPP Emerging Technology Lab at the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP).
The Emerging Technology Lab was established to promote education in applied learning, innovation, and collaboration with industry in the field of emerging technologies. This lab will become a dynamic space for students to develop practical skills, implement real-world projects, and explore innovation through workshops, research, and collaborations with digital technology industry partners. AUPP will utilize the lab to support academic programs, teaching, and training—particularly in technology competitions and initiatives that position the university as a leading hub for future technological and professional development.
During the launching ceremony, H.E. Liv Sophanarith highlighted the long-term vision of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications for digital transformation and the implementation of various strategic plans, including the development of digital human capital and the promotion of research. He emphasized that this lab is more than just a new facility—it is a symbol of ambition and strong commitment to the future. Furthermore, the lab will play a significant role in driving social development toward a digital society and fostering collaboration between academia, government, and the private sector.
