Phnom Penh— On the afternoon of July 4, 2025, His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications and Chairman of the Digital Government Committee (DGC), presided over the 7th meeting of the DGC to examine the current situation and mechanisms for preventing cyberattacks. Leaders from various ministries and institutions serving as vice chairmen and members of the DGC, along with senior officials and civil servants, attended this meeting—totaling approximately 150 participants.

During the meeting, H.E. Minister provided an overview of the current situation and outlined mechanisms for preventing cyberattacks. He highlighted that several websites and online systems of various ministries and institutions had been recently targeted by anonymous hackers through Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks and other forms of cyberattacks.

At the end of his remarks, H.E. Minister and Chairman of the DGC urged the representative leaders of ministries and institutions, as well as technical working groups, to uphold the utmost caution in implementing cybersecurity guidelines to safeguard their websites and systems from attacks by anonymous hackers.
