Phnom Penh: On the evening of May 18, 2025, His Excellency Chun Vat, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), presided over the award ceremony and announced the top 20 outstanding candidates of the Cambodia National Cybersecurity Competition 2025, following an intense 8-hour competition held at the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology.

This program was organized by the Department of ICT of the MPTC with the purpose of selecting the top four candidates to represent Cambodia in the ASEAN Round and the ASEAN Cyber SEA Game, hosted by the ASEAN-Japan Cybersecurity Capacity Building Centre (AJCCBC) in Thailand.

At the same time, Secretary of State Chun Vat congratulated and presented awards to the five winning candidates, selected from a total of 100 participants, who received medals and prizes as follows:

– 1st Place—Mr. Pann Vichhka: 2,000,000 Riel

– 2nd Place—Mr. Sun Kimsroul: 1,500,000 Riel

– 3rd Place—Mr. Hak Vitou: 1,000,000 Riel

– 4th Place—Mr. Bun Chamnan: 500,000 Riel

– 5th Place—Mr. Meng Rothary: 500,000 Riel

In addition, Secretary of State Chun Vat announced 15 other outstanding candidates, alongside the top 5 winners, to receive a 4-month cybersecurity training from trainers in preparation for the next level of competition.

The MPTC congratulates all 20 outstanding candidates, including both male and female participants, who showed great effort and commitment starting from the preliminary rounds through to the finals.

The Cambodia National Cybersecurity Competition 2025 reflects the MPTC’s active involvement in promoting digital human capital in the cybersecurity sector and in fostering a competitive spirit in cybersecurity both in Cambodia and in the region.
