The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) is proud to officially announce to the public that on May 27, 2025, MPTC and Plug and Play officially launched the establishment of the Plug and Play Cambodia office. The event took place at the headquarters of Plug and Play in Silicon Valley, United States, under the esteemed presidency of H.E. Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, and Mr. Saeed Amidi, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Plug and Play, with participation from Mayor of Sunnyvale, Vice Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City, representatives of technology companies and digital professionals.

Through this partnership, the Plug and Play Cambodia Office aims to position Cambodia to become an international-standard hub for entrepreneurship development and digital innovation. This initiative further strengthens Cambodia’s digital startup ecosystem and promotes Cambodia to become a leading digital innovation hub in the region by:

1. Providing world-class training and business acceleration and development programs, led by experts from Plug and Play, to accelerate the growth of digital startups.

2. Expanding market access for high-potential Cambodian startups, connecting them to regional and global markets.

3. Increasing investment accessibility, fostering a broader range of funding opportunities for Cambodian digital startups.

4. Enhancing business networks by linking Cambodian startups with Plug and Play’s global partners, universities, and diversified mentors from Silicon Valley, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

5. Creating engagement opportunities through internships, mentorship programs, and industry workshops, enabling Cambodian startups and students to gain hands-on experience with Plug and Play and leading technology companies in Silicon Valley.

Furthermore, MPTC will support the Plug and Play Cambodia office in developing programs to advance digital transformation and innovation in Cambodia. Specifically, this initiative will provide opportunities for Cambodian digital startups to attract investment and expand their businesses into regional and global markets through Plug and Play’s extensive network, which spans over 60 locations worldwide and 550 partners and corporates.

During this event, the Cambodian delegates presented on (i) Building Trust via Digital and Digital Government Products, and (ii) Cambodia’s Digital Park, as well as participated in panel discussions on (i) Investing in Cambodia and Working with Startups, and (ii) Government Innovation and Digital Transformation.

In light of this announcement, the public, entrepreneurs, and digital businesses are encouraged to participate in upcoming programs organized by Plug and Play Cambodia.
