Phnom Penh, May 26, 2025 – His Excellency Keo Sothie, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, presided over the opening ceremony of the Ambassador and Bootcamp Program on Cybersecurity “Building Cyber Resilience and Cyber Safety Culture,” held at the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology. The event brought together approximately 100 participants, including officials from the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, professors, and students from various higher education institutions.

This program was organized for the purpose of strengthening the cybersecurity capacity of officials from the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications and relevant stakeholders, with the aim to foster the effective adoption of digital technologies and enhance knowledge of mechanisms for mitigating cybersecurity risks.

The Ambassador and Bootcamp Program on Cybersecurity is scheduled to run over five days, from May 26 to May 30, 2025. It covered key topics including (1) fundamentals of cybersecurity, (2) understanding cyber threats and institutional protection mechanisms, (3) cyber incident response, (4) cybersecurity risk and safety analysis—implementation and building resilience, and (5) cybersecurity risk assessment and evaluation.

This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology, and the Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation (CCSRI) of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), with support from the Australian Government.
