Beijing— On June 5, 2025, His Excellency Ung Sokoudom, Advisor to the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), participated as a distinguished guest speaker at the “2025 Beijing Cybersecurity Conference,” an international-level conference focused on topics related to artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity. This conference brought together representatives from various countries, cybersecurity experts, and research institutions who are either responsible for or engaged in research related to cybersecurity and AI with the goal to share progress and challenges arising from the fast-evolving digital technologies.
During the conference, H.E. Ung Sokoudom delivered a presentation on the strategic planning and development of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity in the Kingdom of Cambodia, which addressed four key points, such as (1) Cambodia’s digital transformation journey, (2) the development of the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, (3) the importance of cybersecurity in AI development, and (4) the significance of strengthening and expanding cooperation at the national, regional, and global levels.
On the sidelines of the conference, H.E. Ung Sokoudom and his delegation granted an interview with CRI—China Radio International, where they discussed recent developments in the cybersecurity efforts within the Kingdom of Cambodia. Furthermore, at the invitation of QI-ANXIN, China’s leading cybersecurity company, H.E. Ung Sokoudom and his delegation visited the company to explore potential opportunities for cooperation in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. The meeting also included the participation of Elinc, a leading international digital technology company.
