Phnom Penh—On the morning of August 8, 2025, His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, received a courtesy meeting with His Excellency Shaharuddin Onn, Ambassador of Malaysia to Cambodia, along with his delegation at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications.

During the meeting, H.E. Minister and H.E. Ambassador discussed key areas of cooperation related to the digital sector, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Particularly, the meeting discussed the upcoming official visit of H.E. Minister and his delegation to Malaysia to participate in the ASEAN AI Malaysia Summit 2025, scheduled to take place on 11–12 August 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

On this occasion, H.E. Minister expressed his sincere thanks to Malaysia for the active contribution to finding the solution through the agreement of a ceasefire between Cambodia and Thailand under the initiative of the United States of America and the participation from the People’s Republic of China.
