Phnom Penh— On September 18, 2025, His Excellency Khov Makara, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, presided over the closing ceremony of the Workshop on “Cybersecurity Regulations and Governance” at Himawari Hotel, Phnom Penh. The workshop was attended by government officials and technical staff from relevant government ministries and institutions, operators of critical information infrastructure, internet service providers, and representatives from the banking sector—bringing together approximately 100 participants.

The workshop was organized to expand the understanding of cybersecurity governance, international cybersecurity laws, and security guidelines in the banking sector while also introducing security policy to support the development of effective cybersecurity governance regulations and policies in Cambodia.

This workshop was under the Cybersecurity Resilience Improvement Project of the Kingdom of Cambodia, which receives technical assistance and support from the Government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Cambodia.
