Phnom Penh: On the morning of March 9, 2026, His Excellency Kong Phallack, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), led the Data Governance and Open Data Policy Working Group to participate in a bilateral meeting with representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, which was led by His Excellency Dr. Tang Nguonly, Deputy Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Digital Economy and Business Committee, to consult on the draft Data Governance Policy 2026–2035.

During the meeting, the MPTC working group and representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Finance held in-depth discussions on the priority actions outlined in the draft policy. Both sides also exchanged views on the development of data governance and open data frameworks for Cambodia, covering both policy directions and technical considerations.
