In response to the rapid advancement of technology, His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), has provided high-level guidance directing all leaders and civil servants of the MPTC to learn and adopt artificial intelligence (AI) to improve work efficiency, drive innovation, enhance public service delivery, and contribute to Cambodia’s digital future. The training was conducted at the Digital Government Institute of the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT) from 28 May to 11 June 2026, which was divided into 11 groups based on designated schedules and venues.

The training aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of AI fundamentals, the AI ecosystem in Cambodia, the risks and challenges associated with AI adoption, and the ethical and responsible use of AI. It also focused on maximizing the benefits of AI to improve work efficiency, including idea generation; document summarization; drafting correspondence, letters, and agendas; financial planning; slide presentations; and content and website creation, as well as advanced technical tasks such as complex data analysis and institutional document and project management to respond to the ongoing digital development. The training also supports the development of digital human capital in the public sector in line with the vision of the Cambodia Digital Government Policy 2022–2035.
