H.E Minister Prak Sokhonn welcomed delegations from Ministry of Industries and Information Technology (MIIT) of China and signed MOU on cooperation between MPTC and MIIT

In responding to the extended invitation by H.E  Minister Prak Sokhonn, minister of Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Cambodia (MPTC) to the Ministry of Industry Information and Technology (MIIT) of China, the Deputy Minister H.E. Shang Bing have led Chinese delegations from MIIT to meet with the Minister of MPTC on 26th January 2015.

During this occasion, the Minister of MPTC have welcomed the Deputy Minister of MIIT and Chinese delegates for a bilateral discussion on how we can strengthen ongoing collaboration between both parties especially through future cooperative work and development programs. Some of the key areas that were put to discussion are the needs for building infrastructure, human resource development, research and development, cyber security and encourage private investments in this sector. To commemorate on this special visit, both parties agreed to sign MoU on strengthen cooperation between MPTC and MIIT within the Information and Communication Technology sector.

H.E  Prak Sokhonn and H.E  Shang Bing further witnessed the signing of MoU between general department of ICT (GD-ICT) and The National Computer network Emergency Response technical Team Coordination Center of China (CNCERT/CC); and the signing of contractual agreement to transfer “Fusion Cloud Desktop” from Huawei Technology (Cambodia) to the GD-ICT of MPTC.
