Phnom Penh: On the morning of March 5, 2026, His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), received a courtesy visit from a delegation from the EU-ASEAN Business Council led by Ms. Sharon Toh, Head of ASEAN, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

During the meeting, H.E. Minister highlighted the Ministry’s reform progress and key achievements in recent years. These include initiatives in digital transformation, the development of digital human capital, raising public awareness on digital technology, and the advancement of digital government platforms and applications—particularly the Royal Government’s document verification platform, VERIFY.GOV.KH, and the DG SuperApp platform. In response, Ms. Sharon Toh praised the Royal Government of Cambodia for the notable accomplishments in fostering digital government transformation.

Furthermore, H.E. Minister and Ms. Sharon Toh exchanged views on matters related to the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement and the process for business licensing and operations in sectors under the Ministry’s jurisdiction. This aimed to strengthen confidence and attract greater investment from European investors and businesses in Cambodia.
