Phnom Penh: On the afternoon of March 5, 2026, His Excellency So Visothy, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), presided over the official launch of the Entrepreneurship Mentor Development Program, a program to strengthen the quality of mentorship for entrepreneurs and digital startups in Cambodia. The event was attended by MPTC leaders, entrepreneurs, digital startups, ecosystem support organizations, and development partners, held at the AUPP Technology Center (ATC) at the American University of Phnom Penh, with support from the MPTC and Khmer Enterprise.

The program is organized by ATC in collaboration with the Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF) and Swisscontact Cambodia through the Enhancing Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Investment (3Ei) Initiative. This initiative receives financial support from Khmer Enterprise, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

The “Entrepreneurship Mentor Development Program” was initiated for the purpose of enhancing the quality and effectiveness of mentorship by strengthening mentors’ capacities to deliver structured and practical guidance tailored to the real needs of entrepreneurs in the early stages of their business journey. The program focuses on building mentors’ capacities and alignment through a combination of targeted training, hands-on mentorship practice, and network building.

On this occasion, H.E. Secretary of State So Visothy emphasized that mentorship plays a crucial role in supporting entrepreneurial development, business growth, and strengthening innovation within the ecosystem. Effective mentors do more than provide technical advice; they also help shape strategic direction and share real-world experiences to support entrepreneurs and digital startups in overcoming early-stage challenges. He further added that this program is an important step toward improving the quality of mentorship support within Cambodia’s entrepreneurship and digital startup ecosystem.
