Phnom Penh: On April 20, 2026, His Excellency Kong Phallack, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), led a consultation meeting with French legal and technical advisors on three draft laws under the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) project: (1) Draft Law on Personal Data Protection, (2) Draft Law on Information and Communication Technology, and (3) Draft Law on Digital Government.

The meeting brought together representatives from the legal team of the General Secretariat of the Digital Government Committee, the General Department of Information and Communication Technology, and the General Department of Administration (Legal Department), along with the AFD working group, representatives from the French Embassy in Cambodia, and representatives from Expertise France. The meeting was held at the MPTC headquarters.
