Phnom Penh: On the afternoon of April 3, 2026, His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, presided over the “Closing Ceremony and Certificate Presentation for Participants of the MSMES Digital Acceleration Program for Digital Economy,” held at Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh. The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC) and the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC) collaborated to organize the event.

During the event, H.E. Minister warmly congratulated all 422 participants from 249 enterprises who had successfully completed the training program. He emphasized that micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of the national economy and are rapidly evolving to foster locally made products over imported goods.
Furthermore, H.E. Minister provided several key remarks, including (1) encouraging entrepreneurs to fully leverage digital technologies to strengthen resilience and improve productivity, which is a crucial step toward transforming Cambodia into a robust and inclusive digital economy; (2) supporting digital startups, with the MPTC continuing to provide both technical and financial support to local businesses through the Business Operations Platform; (3) promoting skills development through training programs delivered by both local and internationally renowned experts, particularly integrating the knowledge on artificial intelligence (AI); (4) establishing digital tech centers to provide co-working spaces, training facilities, and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs; and (5) encouraging all business leaders and entrepreneurs to explore opportunities for scaling up their business through “Cambodia Digital Park,” a stepping stone toward building a digital ecosystem that transforms traditional businesses into smart enterprises and contributes to the realization of Cambodia Vision 2050.
