Phnom Penh: On the morning of April 2, 2026, His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, presided over a gathering with retirees of the Cambodian Veterans and Pensioners Association in the post and telecommunications sector. The gathering was attended by the ministry leadership, civil servants, association members, and retirees—bringing together approximately 350 participants at the headquarters of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC).
In his remarks, H.E. Minister conveyed warm greetings to the retirees and former civil servants of the MPTC on behalf of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, who have consistently demonstrated strong commitment and care for the well-being of all veterans and retirees. The wise leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen in expanding the scope of the Cambodian Veterans and Pensioners Association to include general retirees reflects a long-term vision and deep concern for the welfare and dignity of those who have served the nation across generations. Guided by the noble vision, H.E. Minister reaffirmed his commitment to continue promoting the well-being and honoring the valuable contributions of all retirees who have played an active and meaningful role in developing the post and telecommunications sector and in building vital achievements for the nation over the years.









Furthermore, H.E. Minister outlined the continued development of the post, telecommunications, and ICT sectors, particularly in the area of digital technology. H.E. Minister emphasized that the Ministry considers the institutional reform to be a critical prerequisite for driving positive transformation toward greater efficiency and productivity through the use of digital systems. In recent years, the Ministry has achieved various notable accomplishments in enhancing the quality of internal administration, strengthening financial management, and developing human resource capacity, thereby establishing a solid foundation to support effective sectoral development and governance within the Ministry’s mandate.
Before concluding, H.E. Minister expressed his profound appreciation for the exemplary contributions of all retirees who laid the groundwork for the Ministry’s achievements today through their dedication, sacrifice of time, physical and mental effort, and unwavering commitment to fostering and developing the sectors under the Ministry’s jurisdiction; they have made significant contributions to national development and to serving the interests of Cambodian citizens as a whole.
