Singapore: At the invitation of Her Excellency Josephine Teo, Minister for Digital Development and Information of Singapore, His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, led a delegation to participate in Asia Tech x Singapore 2026, held from May 19–21, 2026. Asia Tech x Singapore is Singapore’s largest annual digital technology event, bringing together ASEAN ministers responsible for digital affairs, leaders of ministries and institutions from partner countries, and major international technology companies, including Amazon, Google, Nvidia, and numerous artificial intelligence companies.

During the event, H.E. Minister held discussions with the delegation from the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs of Indonesia to exchange views on recent developments, particularly in the area of digital governance, as well as the digital transformation in the public sector in both countries. In addition, H.E. Minister received courtesy meetings from representatives of Google and the satellite company Amazon Leo.

Speaking at the ASEAN–U.S. Ministerial Roundtable on Artificial Intelligence Cooperation, attended by ASEAN digital ministers; H.E. Jacob Helberg, U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment; representatives of the ASEAN Secretariat; and senior executives from Amazon, Google, and Nvidia, H.E. Minister highlighted Cambodia’s progress in artificial intelligence development, including the National AI Strategy, AI literacy and awareness programs, efforts to promote AI adoption, and the capacity building of data, computing resources, and infrastructure, as well as research and development through the establishment of a National Data Center and a National AI and Data Science Research Center.

Regional cooperation in digital development continues to accelerate the growth of Cambodia’s digital sector while enabling the country to play an active role in the digital affairs of ASEAN and internationally.
