Takeo Province: On the morning of May 17, 2026, His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Chairman of the Royal Government Working Group for Takeo Province, and Honorary President of the Cambodian Red Cross for Takeo Province, presided over the celebration marking the 163rd Anniversary of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, May 8, 2026, and the 71st Anniversary of the Cambodian Red Cross, which was held under the theme of “Continuing to Join Forces for Humanity” by the Cambodian Red Cross for Takeo Province. The event was attended by vice presidents and members of the Cambodian Red Cross for Takeo Province, along with numerous generous donors.
During the event, H.E. Minister stated that the celebration is commemorated to encourage cooperation in humanitarian causes, particularly in alleviating the hardships of citizens affected by potential disasters and emergencies who require humanitarian assistance.









At the same time, H.E. Minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation while also appealing to national and international philanthropists to continue contributing and providing mental, material, and financial support to the movements and activities of the Cambodian Red Cross for Takeo Province to sustain the humanitarian activities for the people, especially in easing the hardships of soldiers and displaced persons affected by the invasion of Thai troops. H.E. Minister added that citizens have actively contributed to building Cambodia’s strength by supporting local products, which will help enhance the quality and output of domestic goods.
Before concluding, H.E. Minister urged all members and attendees at the ceremony to use digital driver’s licenses, which can be requested easily, quickly, and with high security.
