Phnom Penh: On the afternoon of April 28, 2025, His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, received a courtesy call from Dr. Megat Zuhairy bin Megat Tajuddin, Chief Executive of the National Cybersecurity Agency (NACSA) in Malaysia, along with his delegation at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications.

During the courtesy visit, H.E. the Minister briefed Dr. Megat Zuhairy on the progress on the development of policies, law and regulations related to cybersecurity, personal data protection, and artificial intelligence (AI), as well as the effort to strengthen digital human capital development, particularly in the field of cybersecurity, through scholarship opportunities for bachelor’s and master’s degrees and professional training courses. Simultaneously, H.E. the Minister and NACSA’s Chief Executive exchanged best practices on cybersecurity efforts, roles, and cybersecurity law and regulations.

Before concluding the courtesy, both H.E. the Minister and Dr. Megat Zuhairy reaffirmed their commitment to continuing cooperation between the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications and NACSA, as well as strengthening regional cybersecurity collaboration within ASEAN.
