Phnom Penh: On August 30, 2026, His Excellency So Visothy, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), presided over the opening ceremony of the “AI in Motion (AIM)” program organized by FirstWave. The event brought together approximately 100 participants who are startup founders, innovators, representatives from private companies, investors, and students.

The “AI in Motion (AIM)” program is an 8-week business acceleration and development program for digital startups, focusing on leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to build new digital platforms and solutions. It aims to raise awareness, build capacity, and promote the practical application of AI in building innovative digital solutions by empowering Cambodian entrepreneurs and startups to build and scale their businesses through training, mentorship from experts, MVP (Minimum Viable Product) development, and networking with investors and partners within the technology ecosystem.

On this occasion, H.E. Secretary of State emphasized that AI is playing a vital role in transforming all sectors to be more convenient and efficient, ultimately contributing to socio-economic development. In addition, H.E. Secretary of State encouraged all participants to actively learn and gain knowledge and experience from the “AI in Motion (AIM)” program in order to turn their creative ideas into practical products and services that can compete both nationally and internationally.
