Xi’an: At the nomination of His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), His Excellency Hak Sok Heng, Secretary of State, led a delegation to attend the World Internet Conference held on July 21–22, 2026, in Xi’an, China. The conference was organized to promote dialogue, foster cooperation, and explore opportunities for the development of the Digital Silk Road. It brought together around 800 participants, including ministers, deputy ministers, and leaders from approximately 50 countries and regions, as well as representatives from international organizations, the private sector, and researchers.

During the conference, H.E. Secretary of State attended the Ministerial Meeting and delivered keynote remarks at the Forum on Collaborative Innovation and Development of AI Agents. In his remarks, he highlighted Cambodia’s efforts and achievements in which MPTC is the implementing body in advancing AI through human resource development, infrastructure building, adoption and utilization, international cooperation, and governance—particularly within the agentic AI ecosystem. He also emphasized that the National AI Strategy will play a significant role in guiding the adoption, development, and governance of AI, including Agentic AI.
