Phnom Penh: On August 5, 2026, His Excellency So Visothy, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), presided over the “Community Series: Empowering Innovation: The Founder and Investor Nexus,” which was co-organized by Plug and Play Cambodia, the AUPP Technology Center (ATC), and the MPTC at the ATC. The event was also attended by MPTC leaders, private companies, investors, Cambodian digital startups, and students, bringing together approximately 100 participants.

The event aimed to gather digital startup founders, investors, and relevant stakeholders within the digital startup ecosystem to discuss and gain an understanding of how to find investment capital through investment readiness, building partnerships and trust with investors, seizing regional expansion opportunities, and leveraging professional networks to accelerate innovative ventures. On this occasion, Plug and Play also introduced the Innovate Cambodia Accelerator Program (Batch 3), designed to foster innovative ideas, build networking, develop market expansion strategies, and build connections with international investors.

On this occasion, H.E. Secretary of State emphasized that Plug and Play plays a vital role in strengthening Cambodia’s digital startup ecosystem by connecting local digital startups with international experts, investors, and regional markets. Through this partnership, two Cambodian startups, such as Bamnang and KonektAgri, have successfully secured investment, with more expected to follow, reflecting the rising innovative potential of Cambodia.

H.E. Secretary of State also urged investors not to overlook local digital startups and Cambodian digital platforms, which are both innovative and full of potential. He encouraged all domestic investors to take advantage of this opportunity to support Cambodian digital startups in order to develop technology and boost the national digital economic growth.
