Phnom Penh: On the morning of August 26, 2026, Her Excellency Prak Channay, Secretary of State and Chairwoman of the Working Group for Gender of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), presided over a workshop on Promoting Inclusive Women’s Leadership in Digital Technology, which was attended by leaders, civil servants, and staff from the MPTC and provincial departments of post and telecommunications—bringing together approximately 270 participants at the MPTC headquarters.

On this occasion, H.E. Secretary of State Prak Channay stated that the workshop aims to create equal opportunities, reduce the gender gap, and empower women to become key drivers in leading and keeping pace with digital technology. The event plays a crucial role in prompting everyone to reflect on women’s roles, potential, and leadership in building a digital future. H.E. Secretary of State added that to empower women to play an even more critical role in the digital technology sector, we must foster an equitable work environment that gives women and girls continuous opportunities to build digital skills, thereby allowing them to step into leadership roles.
Furthermore, the H.E. Secretary of State expressed hope that participating civil servants and relevant stakeholders have expanded their knowledge, shifted their mindsets, strengthened their problem-solving skills, and better maintained their own well-being and that of their teams. Ultimately, this workshop serves as a stepping stone toward building an equal and inclusive digital future where no one is left behind.
