Phnom Penh—On the afternoon of January 23, 2026, His Excellency Khov Makara, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, presided over the closing ceremony of the training course on “Cyber Risk Management: Governance and Audit,” held at Himawari Hotel in Phnom Penh, with the participation of officials and specialists from 35 relevant government ministries and public institutions, regulators, critical information infrastructure operators, internet service providers, and banks—bringing together approximately 50 participants.

The training was conducted from 19 to 23 January 2026 with the objective of strengthening participants’ capacities in cybersecurity governance, risk assessment, and auditing following international standards.

It is worth noting that this training was organized under the Cybersecurity Resilience Improvement Project of the Kingdom of Cambodia, which is a project that receives technical assistance and support from the Government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Cambodia. The initiative also contributes to the implementation of national policies by strengthening the capacity of specialized civil servants across government ministries and public institutions in the field of cybersecurity.
