Tbilisi—On February 9, 2026, His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, led the Ministry delegation to attend a meeting with Her Excellency Tamar Ioseliani, Acting Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. The meeting aimed to discuss opportunities for digital cooperation between the two ministries.

During the meeting, both sides discussed and exchanged experiences on digital transformation, including the development of digital government products in their respective countries, as well as prospects for fostering cross-border digital cooperation. The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia recognized Cambodia’s progress in digital development and highlighted potential areas for digital transformation cooperation in various sectors, particularly those where Cambodia demonstrates competitive strengths, such as the verify.gov.kh platform. In addition, the Georgian side invited Cambodia to send specialists to participate in an upcoming artificial intelligence bootcamp to be hosted in Georgia.
