Phnom Penh: On the afternoon of July 1, 2026, His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), presided over the closing ceremony of the Training on Leading Digital Transformation “Navigating Emerging Technology Innovation for Leaders of Ministries and Institutions” for a total of 122 leaders who are secretaries-general, directors-general, and inspectors-general from 30 ministries and institutions at the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) Technology Center.

During the ceremony, H.E. Minister stated that successful digital transformation relies on several combined factors, including policy, law and regulations, and human resources. It also requires effective change management alongside strong commitment. The MPTC and the Digital Government Committee have been developing digital government products, including the document verification platform, verify.gov.kh, that is gaining substantial national and international support.

It is worth noting that the training is curated with topics that match rapid digital trends, particularly the topic of artificial intelligence (AI). The training was delivered by renowned international professors, high-ranking officials, and the ministry’s digital technology experts.
