Phnom Penh: On the afternoon of August 5, 2026, His Excellency Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), received a courtesy meeting with His Excellency Michel Parys, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Cambodia, at the MPTC headquarters.

During the meeting, H.E. Minister warmly welcomed the visit of H.E. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia. In response, H.E. Ambassador commended Cambodia’s achievements, particularly the impressive and beautiful Techo International Airport.

On this occasion, H.E. Minister and H.E. Ambassador discussed and exchanged views on the 20th Francophonie Summit 2026 and FrancoTech, both hosted by Cambodia. Additionally, H.E. Minister shared the progress of implementing the Verify platform in Cambodia and its expansion to friendly nations. Furthermore, both sides discussed human capital development in emerging digital technologies and initiated direct cooperation between the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT) of MPTC and universities in the Kingdom of Belgium for capacity building and professor exchange programs.
